Fully adapted home

We were approached by Wyvern Architects, who are specialist architects for disabled individuals, to adapt and extend an existing house to make it suitable for a child wheelchair user and her family.

The internal accommodation of the property had to be completely altered to provide two separate living spaces, one for the child and her carer and the other for her parents and siblings.

On the child and carer’s side of the property we created a stimulating therapy room with coloured lights and integral blinds as well as a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool.

Extensive structural alterations were required to install a specialist hoist system to provide the child with full access to the pool room, therapy room, bedroom and en-suite.

This carefully planned house not only provides an attractive, colourful home for the child and her family but more importantly a much improved quality of life.
