Oxford College

Basil Wyatt & Sons were awarded a refurbishment project at d’Overbroeck’s College in Oxford.

The work took place during the eight week summer break with the end date of the project set to coincide with the start of the school year. This meant working to a tight deadline and remaining in close communication with the school throughout the project.

The project consisted of working across two of the school’s buildings to create two new laboratories from existing classrooms, new kitchen facilities and the refurbishment of an art room.

Given the age of the buildings, the utmost care was taken to restore original features including the cornicing and architraves.

It was a quick turnaround project that required careful co-ordination, fast response times and good planning to ensure the tight deadline was met.
